Louise Catlow is the Principal Solicitor of LMC Lawyers, bringing extensive legal experience gained from practising in both the United Kingdom and Australia. Having commenced her legal career in the United Kingdom in 1999 and continuing her practice in Australia since 2011, Louise has worked across a range of legal practice areas before dedicating her practice exclusively to family law.
Louise has particular experience in complex family law matters, including significant financial and property settlements, intricate asset structures, and challenging parenting disputes. Her financial practice includes matters involving substantial asset pools, cryptocurrency and digital assets, company structures, and multi-party disputes involving extended family members, business interests and property held across different entities or individuals.
On the parenting side, Louise regularly deals with complex parenting arrangements, including relocation disputes, and matters involving difficult family dynamics and allegations of family violence. She understands that these cases require more than simply knowing the law. They require careful consideration of the circumstances, a strategic approach and an appreciation of the impact that decisions can have on parents and children.
Having young children of her own and experiencing separation and divorce personally, Louise appreciates just how emotional, challenging and overwhelming the breakdown of a relationship can be. This personal understanding, combined with her extensive legal experience, allows her to approach clients with empathy, understanding and without judgement.
Louise is passionate about helping people navigate the legal and practical challenges of separation, providing clear advice and developing strategies that are focused on achieving fair and workable outcomes. She believes that good family law representation is not about creating unnecessary conflict or allowing legal costs to escalate, but about understanding what matters most to each client and finding the most effective way forward.
As Principal Solicitor, Louise is proud to lead a team that shares her commitment to providing practical, compassionate and considered legal representation.
Outside the office, Louise enjoys spending time with her family, getting outdoors, bike riding and exploring new places.
