Swimming Pool and Spa Pool Compliance Certificates… On 29 April 2016 new legislation will come into effect which requires that if you are selling your home with a swimming pool or spa pool the owner must have a Swimming Pool Compliance Certificate before advertising the property for sale. The Certificate basically discloses if the swimming pool fence is compliant or not with the Swimming Pool Act 1972. New Laws for Swimming Pool Compliance Certificates before selling a property. Swimming Pool Fence Safety The Certificate is valid for 3 years. It can either be obtained from the Local Council or an accredited certifier, both require a fee.
